On April 27, Deutsche Lufthansa AG announced the addition of two new routes: Munich to Bengaluru and Frankfurt to Hyderabad.
The Munich-Bengaluru route will operate three times a week starting from November 3, 2023, while the Frankfurt-Hyderabad flights will begin during the winter season of 2023. These new routes mark the Group’s first expansion into the Asia Pacific region, as per the company’s official statement.
The European airline group is set to strengthen its position in India by introducing more than 50 weekly services to the country. This development comes as a significant step towards expanding the airline’s operations in the subcontinent.
Lufthansa, a German carrier, plans to operate its Airbus A 350 on the Bengaluru-Munich route, which was initially slated to launch in 2020. Unfortunately, the pandemic halted these plans, but the airline has now resumed its preparations.
The introduction of this new route will further solidify Lufthansa’s foothold in the Indian aviation market. Additionally, the carrier aims to raise the frequency of flights on the Bengaluru-Munich route to five times a week if the demand continues to grow.
By offering more services, Lufthansa will provide more connectivity options for passengers, which will ultimately contribute to the airline’s overall growth in the region. Furthermore, the Airbus A 350 is a modern aircraft that boasts numerous advanced features and offers a superior in-flight experience. Hence, passengers traveling on the Bengaluru-Munich route can look forward to a comfortable journey.
