Air India has resumed its non-stop flights between Mumbai (BOM) and New York (JFK) as of February 14, which marks the carrier’s return to this route since 2019. Additionally, Air India airline company is steadily expanding its global network by adding more aircraft to its fleet.
The flight with the number AI 119 was carried out on a Boeing 777 (previously used by Delta) with the registration VT-AEF and named “Vihaan”. It departed from Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (BOM) at 02:18 local time and arrived at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) the next day at 07:27, after a total of 15 hours and 40 minutes in the air.

Air India has launched its third non-stop route from Mumbai (BOM) to the United States with this new service, in addition to its existing operations to Newark (EWR) and San Francisco (SFO). The airline is focused on enhancing international connectivity from its secondary hub and has announced its intention to introduce new routes from Mumbai to Paris (CDG) and Frankfurt (FRA) from Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (BOM) during the first half of this year.
